Smooth Sugaring Studio offers a variety of hair removal services for both men and women; from brows to brazilians and everything in between.
We use an all-natural sugar paste made from the purest of ingredients. The sugar is designed to eliminate unwanted hair while helping to maintain healthy and youthful skin.
We have two stylish locations to serve our clients in the greater Seattle area and carry a variety of local products that bring the flare of the Seattle community directly into our studios.
What is sugaring?
Sugaring is the all-natural form of hair removal.
The art of body sugaring dates back almost 4,000 years to a culture where smooth and hairless bodies were the standard of beauty and youthfulness.
The basis of making the sugar is simple, organic, and edible … water, sugar and lemon. The sugaring method removes hair in the natural direction of the hair growth without sticking to the skin, making hair removal less painful and less irritating. Hair as short as 1/16 of an inch can be removed, eliminating the need to wait for regrowth between treatments. Sugaring also works as a great exfoliator!
New trends and styles, sports and the common desire to be smooth and hairless has revived this eco-friendly art to become cutting edge.

The Team
why sugar?
Sugaring is superior to waxing.
- Sugar does not stick to live skin cells. It removes hair and dead skin cells with little or no discomfort to the skin.
- Sugar is more sanitary than wax. Bacteria does not breed in sugar and there is no double-dipping or cross contamination in the sugaring process.
- The sugar paste remains pliable throughout the service, supporting the hair and removing it cleanly with less breakage and less re-growth than waxed hair.
- Sugared hair can be removed at a much shorter length than waxed hair. Hair length can be as short as 1/16th of an inch (which means no more unsightly grow out).
- The sugar solution is applied at body temperature so your skin will not burn.
- Since sugar is so simple. It can easily be cleaned up with water leaving no residual sticky feeling.
FAQ's
frequently asked questions
When should I avoid sugaring?
If you are using Acutane please wait at least 6 months after discontinuing use before being sugared. When using Retin A, Renova or Differin please wait at least 3 months after discontinuing use before sugaring.
How does it work best for me?
Sugaring is most effective when skin is well exfoliated and hydrated. Nylon gloves or towels work well to exfoliate the skin every other day and the use of water based moisturizers and jojoba oils is preferred to hydrate the skin. Mineral oils should be avoided.
Is it ok to work out before my sugaring appointment?
Allow at least 24 hours after sugaring before your next workout as your follicles are open after a sugaring service and sweat and dirt can irritate the skin.
Can I be in the sun?
It is best to wait 24 hours before exposing you skin to sun after sugaring. If you are sun burned, sugaring that area is not recommended due to skin sensitivity.
Who is sugaring for?
Everyone! - Men, women, athletes, cyclists, swimmers, dancers; anyone who desires to be hair free.
How old do I have to be to get sugared?
If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent/guardian with you to sign a waiver for services received.

Cancellation Policy
We value our relationship with you and respect your time.
Please value ours and the many clients we serve.
With that in mind, we require:
1. A valid Credit Card number when scheduling your appointment.
2. At least 24 hours or greater notice when rescheduling or cancelling your appointment.
3. A charge of 50% of the services requested for ANY reschedules or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
4. A charge of 100% of the services requested if you just space us out.
